Air Applitec a California B general contractor engaged in the design, manufacturing, marketing, & application of cleanroom filtration equipment.
From 1980, to the present we have completed over 30 aerospace projects. In 1980, we designed & constructed our first class 100 vertical laminar flow cleanroom in Mt.View, CA (all building permits were obtained from the city of Mt.View.
In 1981, we completed three projects on the HOE program. One in Sunnyvale and two on Kwajlein Island.
We have completed five projects on the Hubble Space Telescope.
One of our most outstanding projects was started in 1989. It was a 26 ft. by 16 ft. cleanroom with a ceiling height 25 1/2 ft. We believe it is the tallest portable cleanroom in the world. It was a vertical laminar flow portable cleanroom, rolling on 4 dual 10" casters, used for the International Space Station from 1990 to 2002.
While all of the forgoing was being completed, we designed & manufactured hundreds of VLF & HLF work stations, several permitted cleanrooms, and over 600 OEM laminar flow modules. We have set up cleanrooms in Huntsville, Alabama, White Sands, New Mexico, Portland, Oregon, Minnesota, San Diego, CA, Baldwin Park, and many in the San Francisco Bay area.
